Families we have one week left before we begin our very important spring assessments. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you how important these assessments are for your child.
Our primary students will be completing spring FastBridge and Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessments. These will help us as we make plans for next year. Please speak with your child about doing their best so that we may have accurate data to make instructional decisions. Based on your child's fall scores, they will have spring targets to hit. They have been working hard. I know they can do it!!!
Our 3rd-5th graders will begin our Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) on Tuesday, April 30th. The schedule is shared below. It is imperative that your child be in attendance for this very important, mandatory test. These assessments begin promptly at 8:00. Any student who is tardy will need to check in with Mrs. Pippin. No student will be allowed to participate in field and water day until this assessment has been completed. So help your child by making sure that they are in attendance and are getting enough rest during testing. Also, please speak with your child about taking their time and having grit. Grit takes courage and determination.
I know our Wildcats, big and small, have all been working so hard this year. We just want them to finish strong and show how hard work pays off!
