Directions and Parking

Davidson College is located 19 miles north of Charlotte, N.C., just off Interstate 77 at Exit 30. The Alvarez College Union (also known as Knobloch Campus Center) is located in the heart of campus near the football stadium and the Baker sports complex. It is easiest to enter campus through the Baker Drive entrance from Concord Road (Concord runs perpendicular to Main Street from the main stoplight in downtown Davidson). Our Center is on the Atrium level of Alvarez College Union building; office number 201.

Parking Lot Address: Stowe Lot - 204 Baker Drive, Davidson, NC 28036

Coming from downtown Davidson on Concord Road, turn left onto Baker Drive (look for the painted paw print in the road. Woodland Street is directly opposite.) The Union is a tall red brick building located on the left, .3 miles from the entrance. 

• Baker Parking Lot: For visitors, parking is available in Baker Sports Complex off Baker Drive. Though other public parking may be available on Main Street or Concord Road, college-designated visitor parking is more plentiful. From I-77 Exit 30, proceed East on Griffith Street. Griffith Street will intersect with Main Street right in front of the Davidson campus. Take a right onto Main Street and proceed to the first full stoplight. Take a left at the stoplight onto Concord Road. Travel approximately .5 miles until you see Baker Drive on your left. Turn left onto Baker Drive and the visitor parking lot will be on your right.

• Reserved Parking: If you have a reserved spot, look for a small parking lot behind the Alvarez College Union. Here you will find two designated parking spaces reserved for “Betty and B. Frank Matthews II ’49 Center for Career Development Visitors” for your convenience.
