Center for Career Development (Matthews Center)
The 2024-2025 academic year was a fruitful and productive year as our team saw increased employer engagement and student attendance across the board. I am extremely proud of our team once again for their work - we set new student attendance records and sold out all three of our respective career, health and law school fairs for the first time. Our population advisers developed crucial new mentorship and leadership programs, and enhanced existing programs such as our East Asia Internship Program. Davidson College focuses on recruiting students from all backgrounds, enabling them to learn with, and from, each other. We make sure to embed in our work the skills and strategies to guide and support students with a broad range of life experiences, which advances our connectivity and success in our community and rewards students and staff alike.
Throughout this report, you will enjoy highlights of these various successes and programming focus points. Thank you to the Matthews Center team for your creativity and hard work. It is an honor to work with a team of dedicated professionals who understand and value the holistic nature of our mission.
We truly believe that career development happens in many spaces beyond the walls of this center. Our work is supported by a variety of partners across campus, Davidson alumni and families and external partners. We are grateful to be part of an institution that supports and prioritizes students in their successful pursuit of meaningful careers.

Interim Executive Director
