Center for Career Development (Matthews Center)
This year our team focused on intentional programming for our student population and industry focuses. We are proud of our growth in new offerings and student attendance, and our expanded employer relationships. These efforts feature a focus on embedding diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging into our daily work; the results have advanced our work in our community and have been rewarding for students and staff alike.
Throughout this report, you will enjoy highlights of these various successes and programming focus points. Thank you to the Matthews Center team for your creativity and hard work. It is an honor to work with a team of dedicated professionals who understand and value the holistic nature of our mission.
We truly believe that career development happens in many spaces beyond the walls of this center. Our work is supported by a variety of partners across campus, Davidson alumni and families and external partners. We are grateful to be part of an institution that supports and prioritizes students in their successful pursuit of meaningful careers.

Interim Executive Director

To be at the forefront of maximizing the Davidson experience.
The Matthews Center helps students and alumni navigate their life-long educational and professional pursuits by connecting them with tools, resources, and networks and fostering the development of critical competencies that build on the liberal arts experience. Our work depends on meaningful collaborations with academic and community partners that champion inclusivity and promote the pursuit of lives of leadership and service.
We, The Matthews Center for Career Development, are striving to create an inclusive culture that celebrates diverse backgrounds, one where everyone is valued and respected.
