Beginning of Year PD
*All district professional development for the Return to School will take place at your home building. The focus of the District beginning of the year is on Health and Safety procedures and accelerated learning and teaching best practices.
Online Modules can be worked on in advance of September 1st and certifications can be uploaded to the Google form in the directions for access below. Teachers who complete all three modules can leave the afternoon of September 1st.
Health and Safety for Teachers and Staff

September 2nd
Best Practices in Online Learning for Accelerated Learning Scaffolding
Start with the Accelerated Learning Scaffolds - DCSD Teacher Module video (41 minutes). (Here is the link to the slides if you would like them for the links)
After watching the screencast, use the remainder of your 3 hours for this PD engaging in previously recorded professional development on technology integration ideas and resources regarding:
At least one session on Using Explicit Instruction
At least one session on Build and Prime Background Knowledge
At least one session on Increase Opportunities to Respond
At least one session on Provide Performance Feedback
At least one session on your designated Platform. (Seesaw for PreK-1st Grade Teachers or Google Classroom for 2nd-12th Grade Teachers)
Finish by completing the Tech Plan Google Form. This form is your attendance for the 1/2 day and takes the place of badge scanning. The results of your Tech Plan will go to your building's Tech Innovator so that he/she can continue to support you with Best Practices for Online Learning with Accelerated Learning Scaffolds.
September 3rd - PM
District CTTs (12:30 - 1:30pm)
Open the District CTT Agendas and select your grade level/content area agenda
Join the Google Meet linked in the agenda.
Meet with your district CTT for 1 hour.
Assign roles and norms for your team.
Review upcoming shared lessons.
Visit District Google Classrooms to access materials and shared resources - Teacher Classroom Codes
Complete agenda notes and review next steps for the coming week.
R2L Module 2 with Building CTTs (1:30-3:30pm)
With your building CTT, complete the Unbound Ed Module 2: Focusing Lessons to Match the Curriculum with Student Needs
Directions for accessing the module can be found HERE (Module 2 is linked in the last row).
Pause throughout the module to reflect on lessons and applications to your content and instruction.
When finished, complete the Module 2 Submission Form.
With remaining time, review CTT Expectations and Guidance for the 20-21 school year.
