We are looking for chaperones!

Chaperoning at Deer Valley might be for you if you enjoy…

• Taking at least 10,000 steps a day!

In order to accompany our trip as a chaperone, you will need to have all of the information listed on the previous page returned no later than September 11, 2020.

The cost to attend the trip as a chaperone is $130.00. You may pay the amount directly to the Derry Area Middle School in the form of a check. The check can be for the entire $130.00 amount or incremental payments can be made. All money is due no later than September 3, 2020.

Chaperones will be required to attend a chaperone information night in mid-September. At this meeting, you will receive more detailed information on our trip and your responsibilities. We will also be available to answer any questions you may have.

We realize that this is a once in a lifetime experience for parents to learn and bond with their children. If you are interested in attending, please complete the bottom part of this page and return to your child’s teacher by May 22, 2020. If we have more volunteers than available openings, we will use a lottery system to determine our chaperones. We will inform you if you have been chosen by June 5, 2020. We will also have an alternate list if chosen chaperones are unable to complete requirements. Alternates will be notified if they will attend by August 6, 2020.
