Meet the School Counseling Team

School Counselor

My name is Tana Prokosch and I am the K-12 School Counselor for Drummond School District. I grew up in Pepin, Wisconsin enjoying the very similar small-town aspects of Drummond. I played a lot of sports and enjoyed life on Lake Pepin. My fiance and I live in Hayward, Wi, we have two pets and are enjoying all the area has to offer!

My passion for school counseling began during my time as a student at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology/Coaching and then at the University of Wisconsin-Stout where I earned my Master’s of Science in School Counseling. I have many years of professional experience with directing a Boys & Girls Club in Menomonie prior to moving up North. What I love most about the work of counseling is teaching students’ new skills that they can utilize in their daily life! Counseling allows me to provide an opportunity for early intervention support that can have a lifetime positive impact on students.

Please reach out with any questions that you may have about the counseling program. I am a big believer in the home-school collaboration which involves a collaborative working relationship between families and schools leading to many positive outcomes. For that reason, I would love the opportunity to work together!

Mental Health Navigator

My name is Maria Renz and I am the Mental Health Navigator for the Drummond School District. I grew up in Connecticut but have been living in northern Wisconsin since 2006 with my husband and children. We moved to Drummond in the summer of 2019 and have loved this school and community! I have been involved with youth programs for the past 17 years. I currently enjoy leading our local 4-H club and working on the little league board.

I recently graduated from Northwood Technical College with my Associates in Human Services. My goal is to bring mental health awareness and resources to our students, families, and community while aiding the counselor. Please feel free to contact me if you would like more information on mental health. I look forward to working together and making a difference in our community.
