Youth Apprenticeship

What is Youth Apprenticeship?

A Youth Apprenticeship is a one or two year “earn while you learn” program for high school juniors and seniors consisting of work and related classroom instruction in a chosen occupation. Training is received on-the-job where the employer teaches the skills of the occupation. 

What are the requirements of Youth Apprenticeship?

• Work 450 Hours between June 1st-August 31st of the following year. 

• Complete all necessary paperwork

• Take at least 1 credit of classwork that aligns with your Youth Apprenticeship position

What are the benefits of Youth Apprenticeship?

• Students are able to leave during 7th hour to work. (If they are scheduled)

• You can earn up to 2 credits for electives. (1 junior year, 1 senior year). 

• Get a jumpstart on a career!
