Youth Apprenticeship
What is Youth Apprenticeship?
A Youth Apprenticeship is a one or two year “earn while you learn” program for high school juniors and seniors consisting of work and related classroom instruction in a chosen occupation. Training is received on-the-job where the employer teaches the skills of the occupation.
What are the requirements of Youth Apprenticeship?
Work 450 Hours between June 1st-August 31st of the following year.
Complete all necessary paperwork
Take at least 1 credit of classwork that aligns with your Youth Apprenticeship position
What are the benefits of Youth Apprenticeship?
Students are able to leave during 7th hour to work. (If they are scheduled)
You can earn up to 2 credits for electives. (1 junior year, 1 senior year).
