The exceptional geography of Chile makes it an ideal location for Astrobiology research: our natural laboratory makes it possible to explore the limits of life with extremophile microorganisms, investigate sites analogous to other celestial bodies of the Solar System, and provides the ideal conditions to build the largest astronomical facilities. All of these factors combine to offer an unparalleled perspective for understanding the processes responsible for habitable planet formation and the origin and maintenance of life.
The main objective of ABC24 is, therefore, to gather the Chilean scientific community to promote interdisciplinary dialogue, fostering new collaborations and national-level coordination in this emergent field.
ABC24 will take place at Termas El Corazón from 3:00 PM on August 26th to 3:00 PM on August 28th; a perfect location to encourage collaboration and networking.
The organization will cover accommodation and meals for those days. A bus from Santiago to Termas El Corazón will be provided for those who request it.
