"Higher Order Comprehension: Strategies & Skills for Students
with Dyslexia or language difficulties "
by Shilpa Madane
Hosted by Anaberta Oehlers-Jaen,
Head of DAS International, SINGAPORE
Comprehension, in simple words, is the ability to understand and interpret what we read. However, it requires multiple skills such as decoding, making connections and inferencing. Students with Specific Learning Differences such as Dyslexia, ADHD, and dysgraphia, who are already struggling with reading fluency or spelling may face a hurdle when approaching a comprehension passage and analysing it. Our Senior Specialist Teacher Ms Shilpa Madane will share how can this process be made interesting and easier for a learner who learns differently.
Join us to know more about the hurdles faced by them and the strategies used to overcome those hurdles.
