HOI FOUNDATION - THE POWER OF THINKING DIFFERENTLY - NETHERLANDS
Dyslexia Awareness Week 2021: 1-8 October 2021

During the global DYSLEXIA AWARENESS WEEK, HOI Foundation and Dyslexia Font, from October 1 to 8, bring you WEEK OF DYSLEXIA. A week of inspiring online sessions on the broad picture of dyslexia for parents, teachers, experts, employers, and dyslexics themselves.

Have you ever noticed that many of history's extraordinary artists, musicians, writers, scientists, leaders and inventors were also uniquely different? The "thinking differently" refers to the fact that dyslexics process information in their own way. They think out-of-the-box and creatively. But what is that and what can you do with it all?

We will discover this during the online events with speakers from home and abroad! A week full of enthusiasm, inspiration and positivity where you as a dyslexic will discover what you are capable of because of, not despite, your different way of thinking. But also as a teacher, parent, family member and employer, the Week of Dyslexia gives you more insights and practical tools that go beyond protocols and reading software.

BRITISH DYSLEXIA ASSOCIATION
Dyslexia Awareness Week 2021: Invisible Dyslexia

We know that dyslexia comes with many challenges, but many people in our community feel like their struggles are unseen. Because dyslexia itself isn’t visible, individuals with dyslexia often feel unsupported, unwanted, invisible. From the child at school struggling to keep up with the rest of their friends, to the office worker feeling like they don’t belong.
