Darner Mental Health Counseling is currently seeking emerging, master's level, clinicians to deliver high quality, holistic,  mental healthcare to the community in a boutique-style and supportive environment.  This is a W2, fee-for-sesrvice position.  

LOCATIONS

• Fully remote positions available; work from anywhere in NYS 

• In-person and hybrid positions available in the Campbell Hall, NY office  

REQUIREMENTS 

• Applicant will have completed, at a minimum, a master's degree in mental health counseling/clinical mental health counseling or relevant LMHC-eligible degree 

• Applicant must be NCMHCE eligible and can either provide the appropriate letter from NYSED or have an active searchable NYS limited permit

• Applicants must have experience and comfort conducting sessions independently as well as completing initial intakes/psychosocials

• Proficiency in Google Workspace preferred 

• Comfort with collaborative documentation is preferred 

• Must have excellent communication skills 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the close supervision of the practice owner, the Clinical Mental Health Counselor Resident will:

• Engage clients in the initial and ongoing treatment process 

• Conduct psychosocial assessments, mental health/mental status examinations and make treatment planning recommendations as well as internal and external client referrals

• Conduct safety risk assessments when clients are in crisis and make referrals to appropriate levels of care 

• Assists with fostering professional linkages, relationships with concrete services/other community service providers and referral sources

• Attend group and individual supervision meetings as scheduled 

• Consult with outside professionals and providers as needed 

• Provide light case management activities when clients present the need 

• Participate in professional development trainings 

• Insure maintenance of accurate, complete and timely client records that comply with regulatory requirements

• Facilitate or co-facilitate treatment groups as needed 

• Co-author treatment plans and provide clinical support to clients to meet self-identified goals 

• Adhere to all NYSED laws and ACA ethical guidelines
