Kristina is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and substance abuse counselor (CASAC-M) with a rich and diverse professional background. After obtaining her Master's degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from CUNY John Jay College of Criminal Justice (2010) her career spanned a variety of settings from community mental health centers to inpatient psychiatric facilities. In 2017, she opened her private practice and has been primarily serving adults who have experienced C-PTSD, addiction, relational issues, self-destructive behavior, and high sensitivity. Kristina is also formally trained in first responder cultural competence and has worked with many first responders and their families improve resillence and heal from job-related trauma.
Intensively trained in dialectical behaivor therapy, Kristina is known for her commitment to helping individuals achieve meaningful and lasting changes. With a comprehensive understanding of human behavior and a compassionate approach, she empowers her clients to navigate challenges and cultivate positive transformations.
Her clinical expertise encompasses a spectrum of issues, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, substance abuse, trauma-related conditions, and interpersonal difficulties.
Kristina is also a NYS OASAS Approved Provider and can complete substance abuse evaluations.
Since 2020, Kristina has held the position of Adjunct Professor at Dominican University New York where she teaches psychology courses. From 2020-2022 she taught substance abuse counseling at St. Thomas Aquinas College also as an adjunct.
Kristina is able to offer both in-person and remote sessions.

She is dedicated to helping individuals build resilience, cope with challenges, and achieve their personal goals. She has a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by young adults as they navigate significant changes in education, career, relationships, and identity. Her specialized training allows her to tailor therapeutic interventions to meet the specific needs of individuals in this demographic.
Using evidence-based techniques such as behavioral therapies, she helps clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns, develop effective coping strategies, and build practical skills to manage stress and uncertainty.
As an advocate for mental health and well-being, Marwa is passionate about destigmatizing mental health issues and promoting self-care. She is committed to empowering her clients to embrace change as an opportunity for personal growth and self-discovery. She continues to stay informed about the latest research and therapeutic approaches to ensure the highest standard of care for her clients.

His therapeutic goal is fostering emotional well-being with a speciality in children, adolescents, and young adults. His professional journey is deeply rooted in the belief that everyone possesses the capacity for growth and healing and he is inspired to guide individuals through their own transformative processes.
His research and written contributions focus on healing the effects of shame and guilt in adolescence, showcasing his commitment to addressing complex emotional challenges faced by young individuals.
Specializing in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, Lewis is committed to tailoring interventions that align with the unique needs of each client. Furthermore, he has experience in couples counseling, court-mandated therapy, and therapeutic supervised visits.
His ideal client includes the young child or teen exhibiting ADHD symptoms, parents seeking support in understanding and assisting their children, and young adults managing varying concerns including anxiety and depression, as well as providing sensitive and affirming counseling for individuals exploring questions related to gender and sexuality, with a concentration on the LGBTQIA+ population.
