Check Power School daily for assignments and due dates. You must do all assignments for full credit. All lessons are uploaded to Schoology on a weekly basis. If you are absent, Schoology is where you will go to find any missing work. If the work was a paper assignment, you will find it in the folder marked ABSENT next to the tally board in the classroom. If you complete missing work YOU MUST EMAIL ME WITH THE EXACT NAME OF THE ASSIGNMENT COMPLETED. I will then adjust the grade.
Any missing work due to absence is marked Not Handed In (NHI) in the gadebook. This code does score a 0 for the assignment. However, it also marks it missing and allows and easy way for parents, students, and teachers to avoid supraises at report card time. The district policy is to give students 5 school days to complete missing work. However, we are Team Emapthy and understand that life ahppens sometimes. Students in my class are allowed to turn in missing work any throughout the quarter before my grades are due ona predetermined and highly advertised date. Students will be told multiple times the cut off date for missing work. I will happily adjust any grade for any missing assignment as long as it is before the final date and I receive an email.
