Oscar is currently serving as the Class of 2025 NHS President. At DHS, he's a member of the varsity tennis and cross country teams and do both activities outside of school too as a hobby. He's also a volunteer EMT/Driver with Darien EMS - Post 53, the ambulance service here in the town of Darien. Oscar choose to run for the position of president to help the society grow as a resource for other DHS students by assisting them in realizing their academic potential, while also helping the society grow to assist the greater community of Darien by continuing to workshop and plan new ways for the society to use its resources.

Vice President - Service

Kelsey is the Vice President of NHS for the 2024-2025 school year. Kelsey is excited to lead the service committee and give back to her school community. Outside of NHS, Kelsey is a part of New Wave Mentors, a volunteer at her church, and an Irish Dancing teacher. Her favorite subject in school is Biology.

Secretary - Scholarship

Ava Gupta is the secretary of NHS for the 2024-2025 school year. Ava leads the scholarship committee and plans events such as “Cocoa and Cram” which is a night during midterm week in which upperclassmen are assigned subjects to aid new freshmen in studying for their exams. Ava is extremely excited to work with her committee and plan another successful event this year! Outside of NHS Ava is the Vice President of Student Affairs at Darien-EMS Post 53 and the President of the Asian American Student Union, a group that dedicates itself to strengthening the Asian American community at Darien High School. Ava enjoys singing in the Tudors Chamber Choir at DHS, volunteering at her church, and playing tennis on the girls Varsity team! In her spare time she loves playing her favorite songs on her keyboard, reading fantasy novels, and walking her dog Cooper. 

Treasurer - Leadership

Julia is the NHS Treasurer for the 2024-2025 school year. She is honored to be a leader in such an important organization at our school and looks forward to working with her fellow board members in the coming year. Julia is very involved at DHS through her membership in the Mu Alpha Theta honors society and her leadership positions in the DECA and She’s The First clubs. Outside of the school, Julia volunteers regularly and works with the Community Fund of Darien. 

Historian - Character

Sloane is the Historian for the 2024-2025 school year. Sloane is very excited to have been given the opportunity to be on the Executive Board of NHS, and lead the character sector in this exceptional organization. Outside of school Sloane volunteers her time as an EMT with Darien EMS-Post 53, along with volunteering at a local hospital. Within the school community Sloane enjoys participating in Track and Field and managing the Varsity Gymnastics team, accompanied by her involvement in the Wave Strong and Medical Interest clubs. Her favorite subject in school is Biology which helped in developing her passion for medicine.
