Meet The 2022-2023 Leadership Team
Mr. Hernández: Chapter Advisor - rhernandez@darienps.org
Riley Cavanna: President - General Overseer
Riley Cavanna is the NHS president for the 2023 to 2024 school year. She is looking forward to donating time to the community and working with the NHS family. She is an active member of Post 53 and the founder of the Geography and World Awareness Club. Riley enjoys spending time outside with dogs and baking.
Charlotte Golden: Vice President - Service
Charlotte Golden is the Vice President of National Honors Society for the 2023-2024 school year. Charlotte leads the service committee which organizes events and projects to give back to the community. Charlotte is also the president of the Future is Feminist, a club within DHS. Her favorite subjects are chemistry and ceramics. Outside of school, Charlotte volunteers at the YWCA, plays soccer and runs track.
Gaurav Parwal: Secretary - Scholarship
Gaurav is the secretary of NHS for the 2023-2024 School year. He enjoys group projects is looking forward to serving his school community. In School Gaurav Participates in Student government and is a member of the Model United Nations Club. Outside of School Gaurav enjoys playing soccer.
Greta Kosnik: Treasurer - Leadership

Greta is the Treasurer for the 2023-2024 school year. Greta is so excited to be a leader for National Honor Society for the upcoming school year. She is the head of the Leadership Committee which strives to provide exemplary leadership and volunteer service to Darien High School and the community. Outside of NHS, Greta is the Vice-President of the Future is Feminist Club at DHS, as well as a volunteer at both her church and for the Darien Community Fund. Greta is also captain of the cross country team and a member of the Varsity lacrosse team. Her favorite subject in school is math.
Will Benson: Historian - Character
Will is the Historian for NHS 2023-2024 school year. He is thrilled to be part of an outstanding organization that exemplifies students’ accomplishments and service. Will is running the Character Committee which deals with the member’s respect, integrity, and honesty. Outside of NHS, Will is the president of the Student League of Darien, Co-founder and President of Feeding Fairfield, and plays on the Varsity golf and Lacrosse team. His favorite subjects are Economics and Physics.
