Mission
The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921.Â
The Darien High School National Honor Society aims to to foster enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to develop character and citizenship in the students of Darien High School.
*All NHS members should refer to our Constitution and Bylaws for more information about membership and our mission as a chapter, or the NHS website for information about the National Honor Society as a whole.
