BASIC LESSON INFO:

In addition to orchestra class twice each week, Students attend lessons in small groups of the same instrument. This allows much more personal attention than the full orchestra class.

Students have a lesson on the same day each week, but the lesson period rotates each week so they do not miss the same class.

HOW DO LESSONS WORK?

Students should go to the scheduled class first to tell the teacher they have a lesson. The teacher will usually ask them to stay for the first 10 minutes of class to hand in homework, write down assignments, etc. Then they come to my office for the lesson.

If a lesson is scheduled during lunch/study, students attend the lesson only during the study-hall portion and eat lunch as usual.

MAKE UP LESSONS

Students may skip 2 lessons per quarter for tests or other situations when they cannot leave class. Beyond that, they must attend a makeup lesson.

To make up a lesson, students can attend any other lesson for their grade-level.

If a student is absent from school or school is cancelled, no makeup lesson is necessary.
