Essential  

• Qualifications: Recognized Level 3 Qualification in Early Years / Childcare (e.g., NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education, NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development, or equivalent).

• Framework Knowledge: Solid working knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework, development matters, and assessment criteria.

• Experience: Proven experience working within an Early Years setting (Nursery, Pre-School, or Reception class).

• Safeguarding: Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection practices.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with young children, parents, and colleagues.

• Clearance: Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check on the Update Service (or willingness to undergo one).

Desirable Criteria

• Paediatric First Aid certificate (12-hour qualification).

• Food Hygiene certificate.

• Training or experience in supporting children with SEND, speech and language needs, or medical requirements.
