Knowledge, Experience and Training
Essential:
Be educated to A level (or equivalent) with GCSEs in English, mathematics and science to grade C or higher
Be committed to the safeguarding of children
Have excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate effective communication with a range of stakeholders, both orally and in writing
Have the ability to plan and manage of calendar of complex, time sensitive events in line with strict guidelines
Be willing to undertake training and to cascade training to other staff
Have the aptitude to process new information and develop existing skills
Have experience of managing others as well as operating as an effective team member
Have the ability to show initiative, to be efficient and reliable and to self-manage with respect to meeting deadlines
Have excellent ICT skills (Microsoft Office and Google Platform and MIS e.g. Arbor)
Demonstrate patience, flexibility and a sense of humour
Be able to cope with pressure and remain calm and measured when problem solving
Be flexible over daily hours worked in relation to the requirements of examinations
Have a natural aptitude to model the Trust’s core behaviours – ‘We display transparency, kindness and respect in all our interactions with others, and support each other in all our endeavours. We are tenacious in our desire to make the difference together’.
Desirable:
Have experience in a similar role leading public and internal examinations
Have experience of using the examination module in Arbor or similar software in a different management information system
Have thorough knowledge and understanding of JCQ rules and regulations
