We are looking for …
Essential
Minimum of A level (or L3 equivalent)
GCSE in English, Mathematics and Science to grade C/5 or higher
Experience of working as part of a team and work with minimal supervision
Good ICT skills to support teaching and learning, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and Google equivalent and experience of office technology
Ability to manage whole groups of students within a classroom setting
Ability to manage groups of students and motivate them to ensure they are using their independent study time effectively
Have excellent organisational and time management skills and be able to prioritise workload
Be able to support students with their time management and monitor completion of tasks effectively
Have an understanding of how to support students of all abilities both academically and pastorally
Understand safeguarding procedures and have a willingness to work with the Safeguarding and Pastoral Teams to promote safeguarding and wellbeing across all year groups
Be willing to undertake further relevant training and to pass those skills on to other members of staff, as appropriate
Be positive and enthusiastic with excellent interpersonal skills
Have effective communication skills with a variety of audiences, both orally and in writing
Be calm, patient and reflective
Be sympathetic to the needs of all young people

Desirable:
Experience of working with young people, parents and carers
Knowledge of school procedures
Knowledge of Arbor
Be First Aid trained
Knowledge of child protection procedures
A willingness to make a full contribution to the School’s enrichment and extra-curricular programme
A desire to act as a role model and mentor and to deliver outstanding lessons
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism at all times and be a role model for others
Understand the principles of child development and learning processes
