We are looking for…

Essential:

• Qualified teacher status

• Holder of NASENCo, currently undertaking NASENCo, or willingness to undertake the new SENCO NPQ

• Involvement in self-evaluation and development planning

• Understanding of what makes ‘quality first’ teaching, and of effective intervention strategies

• Ability to plan and evaluate interventions

• Data analysis skills and the ability to use data to inform provision planning

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to build positive relationships with all stakeholders, including parents

• An understanding of and a commitment to the nurturing ethos

• Commitment to equal opportunities and securing good outcomes for pupils with SEND

• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times

• Commitment to safeguarding and equality

• Experience of teaching across the primary age range

• A  natural aptitude to model the Trust’s core behaviours – ‘We display transparency, kindness and respect in all our interactions with others, and support each other in all our endeavours.  We are tenacious in our desire to make the difference together’

Desirable:

• Sound knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
