What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with children and young people (in education, youth work or a similar setting).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
An understanding of safeguarding, child protection and behaviour management strategies.
Empathy, patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Knowledge and experience of supporting pupils with attendance challenges, anxiety and EBSA.
The confidence to work both independently and as part of a wider pastoral and inclusion team.
A natural aptitude to model the Trust’s core behaviours – ‘We display transparency, kindness and respect in all our interactions with others, and support each other in all our endeavours. We are tenacious in our desire to make the difference together’.
Desirable Qualifications
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
A relevant qualification in education, youth work, counselling, or childcare.
Training in safeguarding, EBSA, trauma-informed practice, mental health first aid, or behaviour support.
