CAREER READINESS is the attainment and demonstration of requisite competencies that broadly prepare students for a successful transition into post-secondary education, vocational or on-the-job training, apprenticeships and the workplace. Many businesses place equal value on knowledge, job-related skills and employability skills. Students are often under-prepared for the requirements of a successful career, such as the ability to adhere to work schedules and refrain from using cell phones during paid business time.
