Joe Vinci is a Junior at Damien Highschool. This is his second year working on the Laconian and he is the editor this year. He is a three-year varsity wrestler and is the vice president of the Spartan Race club. As a meaty 5’6” 125-pounder, Vinci is convinced that God nerfed him and if he were 6’2” he would be absolutely unstoppable and starting inside linebacker at the University of Notre Dame. In his free time he enjoys watching cartoons, reading (he is literate), and getting big gains in the gym. His favorite animal is the duck and his favorite food is his Mama’s cooking.

Joshua Espinosa, is a Staff Writer for the school newspaper who can name almost every meme known to man, he plays many different sports, and doesn’t get enough sleep. He considers himself one of the best Rainbow 6 and Apex Legends players because he is not a bot and could definitely beat Ninja in a 1v1. He also really enjoys watching football and playing it, hanging out with friends and running amuck when he goes out with them to the store and at the park. He certainly says “Wack” and “My guy” way to much. Even though he looks extremely mad ninety-nine percent of the time he is pretty much always in a good mood and ready for a good laugh. He is also the self proclaimed “Risk” champion with 37 straight wins in a row.

What’s up guys, Adam Hernandez here writing for the Damien Laconian. I focus mainly on music, politics, and other school issues. I am probably one of the smartest students on campus, and my superb writing reflects that. I spend all my free time writing and reading solely for this paper. I welcome you to the school paper but I shouldn't need to, as everyone reads it on campus already. Stay tuned for more articles.

I teach the newspaper class. I graduated from Damien in 2013 where I never once looked at the newspaper. I was too focused on crushing the pool workouts, playing video games, or watching, what I call the nerd trio of movies, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings. You may have noticed me walking around wearing a backpack, that’s because I try my best to throw both the faculty and students off by making everyone think I am a student. By making people double-take, I make all 5’6” of my presence known!
