Music Department

The Music Department provides a comprehensive and dynamic program, beginning in First Program and continuing through High School, where students are immersed in a wide range of musical forms and traditions. From early exposure to vocal and choral music to hands-on experience with a variety of instruments, including strings, percussion, and wind, students build a strong foundation in music theory, technique, and performance. As they progress, they have opportunities to join ensembles, perform in concerts, and explore collaborative musicianship, with the chance to participate in orchestra at the Middle and High School levels. This holistic approach cultivates both individual talent and a deep appreciation for the diverse world of music, while also fostering confidence and teamwork. At the High School level, students can further expand their musical expertise through specialized courses, including music technology, where they learn composition, recording, and digital production skills. Additionally, advanced students may take AP Music Theory, gaining a deeper understanding of the structure and language of music, preparing them for collegiate-level study or professional endeavors in the field.
