The essence of this course is preparing students to be successful in life now and upon graduation as they enter the workforce. Students will explore different career options of interest and create professional business documents such as a resume, cover letter, reference page, and digital e-folio. They will learn how to apply for a job and practice interviewing techniques. In addition, students will examine what it takes to be successful when beginning a new job and how to be a team-player in today’s workforce. Not only will they learn about work, but we will also discuss success skills like managing money and how to use technology to their advantage. This is a course that aims to provide practical knowledge and skills that can be used immediately to succeed in today's society.
