North Texas Giving Day: Help Your Trailblazers’ Class Earn a Free Dress Day!

Solar Girls families — the classroom challenge is officially on!

The investment continues to pay off. The Girls' campus is ranked within the top 3% of ALL public schools in Texas by U.S. News and World Report and one of only six schools in Dallas ISD to earn an A in every category. 

It's probably not surprising that TEACHERS are the #1 driver of academic performance in the classroom. We need your help attracting and keeping the best and brightest, and supporting them along the way. 

NTX Giving Day is our largest grassroots fundraiser and we need your help in raising $150,000 to support our mission, specifically for field trips, teacher resources, supplies, classroom and lab equipment, STEAM experiences, debate, training and development for our talented teachers and our Peace Pantry.

Each class now has its own Friends of Solar Prep North Texas Giving Day page and a very achievable goal: one unique donor for every student in the class by September 17. And there’s something fun on the line: when your daughter’s class reaches its donor goal, the class earns a FREE DRESS DAY! 

This challenge is about participation, not the size of the gift. We are counting NUMBER OF DONATIONS. Give what is right for your family, and then help your daughter’s class get closer to its goal by sharing the link with grandparents, relatives, friends, co-workers and anyone else who wants to cheer her on. Every unique donor counts.

Our classroom challenge is one part of Friends of Solar Prep’s larger $150,000 North Texas Giving Day goal, which helps fuel learning and opportunity throughout the year at Solar Prep. 

North Texas Giving Day is September 17, but there’s no need to wait. Early giving is open now, and there are matching opportunities leading up to Giving Day that can make your gift go even further.

For elementary - choose your daughters homeroom teacher. 

For middle - you can go by advisory teacher OR 10th block teacher. It's up to you - grade levels will compete instead of individual classes.
