👕👚UNIFORMS/ATTIRE: Please click on the link for daily uniform expectations. We will be having our House Sorting Day on Friday, August 14th for all of our NEW-TO-SOLAR students. If your child was at Solar last year, please ensure they wear their decked-out Solar house colors to help cheer on our newest family members. 📝☑️REGISTRATION FOR NEXT YEAR: Visit the DISD website to complete your scholar's registration for the 26-27 school year.  Our goal is to have 100% of our scholars registered by August 11, 2026.

💉🩺 IMMUNIZATIONS: Per TEXAS State Requirements - As per state regulations, all students must have up-to-date immunization records on file with the school. Students will not be allowed to attend if they do not have their immunization records up to date. (or an affidavit turned in for those who choose not to vaccinate.) These records are CRUCIAL for the health and safety of all students and staff. If you need assistance please reach out to Nurse Arteaga at mariamartinez8@dallasisd.org. 

📚✏️SCHOOL SUPPLIES: Please see the school supply list for your student's grade-level requirements. All pre-paid school supplies will arrive by Meet The Teacher Night on August 6th and will be in your child's classroom. 

🧑‍🏫🍎MEET THE TEACHER NIGHT (ELEMENTARY): Time has been changed to 4pm start and 6:30pm end time! Please see the flyer below that now has a Sign-up Genius linked! We look forward to seeing you and your child there!

🧑‍🏫🍎MEET THE TEACHER NIGHT (MIDDLE SCHOOL): We hope to see all middle school families at the Middle School Night on Wednesday, August 5th at 5:30pm. This will be a MANDATORY parent and student meeting where parents will learn more about middle school expectations and advanced course offerings, as well where students can meet their teacher. 

⛺️⛺️TRAILBLAZER CAMP (New to MIDDLE SCHOOL): All incoming 6th grade and NEW to Solar 7th and 8th grade students are invited to join our Trailblazer Camp on Friday, August 7th. Please reach out to Jasmine Stubbs at jstubbs@dallasisd.org if you have any questions!

Families new to Middle School at Solar can join either Parent Meeting on Wednesday, August 5th at 5:30 pm or Friday, August 7th at 8:30am. We will have a "new to middle school" and "new to Solar" space available on both days.

🍎🏫 FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL: The first day of school for all students is Tuesday, August 11th. Doors open at 7:30 AM, and school begins promptly at 8 AM. We encourage students to arrive early to ensure a smooth start to the day. During Meet the Teacher Night, we will need you to fill out a form to let us know how your child will be getting home the first day, first week and for the remainder of the school year.

✨ADMIN UPDATES: We are excited to announce that Mrs. McKinney is the new proud principal of West Dallas STEM Academy. Although we will truly miss her at Solar, we know she will do incredible things at her new campus!
