Why attendance matters?
Students can only benefit from what we have to offer by being in class.
The state of Texas requires that students attend 90% of the class in order to earn credit. Students are required to make up hours beyond 10% and will not receive credit if they miss more than 25% of the class. See Attendance for Credit
State law holds parents accountable for student's attendances through Truancy.
How to monitor Student Attendance
You can ask your child's campus for an attendance report for you to review routinely.
Students and parents can monitor attendance records in Dallas ISD Parent Portal Click here to access the Parent Portal. If you have questions about registration for the Parent Portal, contact the attendance office at your campus.
