My name is Delaina Jackson from Dallas, Texas and I am a product of Dallas ISD. I attended Sidney Lanier Vanguard School for elementary, O.W. Holmes Academy for middle school, and Roosevelt High School. I then went on to the very prestigious Baylor University where I became a communication specialist major. As I interned at a radio and tv station in Waco, Texas, I was offered a position as master control operator at KXXV TV Station. I worked there for 2 years before I decided to be more than just a tech person. I enrolled in the Alternative Certification program through Dallas ISD. I developed a love for teaching that has lasted now 15 years. I wanted to be the kind of teacher that molded me into who I am today. I wanted to give the students I would be in charge of a love for learning that would burn forever in their hearts, souls and minds. I can’t see myself doing anything else. Because of teaching, I am a better listener, a better observer, a better instructor, and a better person!
My goal as an educator is to become a facilitator who awakens in my students the desire to learn so that they can develop all the talents which they were born with.
My name is Juana Guzman and I live in Dallas, Texas. I received my Bachelor’s in 2015 from the University of Texas at Arlington. I am currently completing my Master’s degree in Special Education at Grand Canyon University. My goal is to grow as an educator and guide my students to discover their passion in life.
