FOR DIS STUDENTS
When you decide to register for a scheduled activity, you will be prompted to create a Sawyer Account.
Once logged in, you will be able to pay the registration fee (called membership) and then sign up for the activities of your choice.
Use the cart on the top right hand corner of your page to add all the camps you are interested in before making payment.
Farandole (for our TPS Students)
Farandole is a full day camp - Cost per week: $400
The program is is specially designed for our youngest students who have just completed TPS. It will allow them to keep up with the routines learned this past year and be better prepared for the next level.
The day will be filled with exciting activities aiming at developing language acquisition, social skills, motor skills and self confidence.
Get Ready for GS (for our MS students)
Get Ready for GS is a full day camp - Cost per week: $400
The program is is specially designed to ensure our MS (PreK4) students keep working on their French over the summer. The program will combine language learning activities with games, songs and crafts.
CP Prep (for our Kindergarten Students)
The CP Prep. Camp is a full day program - Cost per week: $400
The program is designed for our students who have freshly graduated from GS and getting ready to enter first grade (Cours Préparatoire) at DIS in the fall. These can be children currently enrolled in GS or students newly enrolled for CP.
The main purpose of this program is to ensure that the children who will attend CP in the fall are as much prepared as possible for the CP class environment (work methods, pace of instruction, etc.).
The sessions, taught by current DIS teachers, will provide useful reinforcement of the skills acquired throughout the school year.
The primary focus will be on the following aspects:
Review and reinforcement of the French vocabulary studied throughout the year to verify acquisition. This review is based on material used during the school year
Enrichment of the French vocabulary through fun activities such as word games, and songs;
Work on sound recognition and pronunciation
Improving writing skills using cursive letters
Developing knowledge of French culture
