The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) is the accrediting body for all physician assistant (PA) programs in the United States. An independent agency since 2001, the ARC-PA has roots dating back to the 1970s. The agency functions to ensure that PA programs meet a standard of quality and engage in a continual process of improvement. This helps to provide matriculating students confidence that their program of choice will provide the education and training they will need to pass the Physician Assistant National Certification Examination (PANCE) and perform the job duties of a physician assistant. It also helps to provide the public with confidence that graduates of an accredited program are qualified to provide medical care.
Daemen's PA program completed the rigorous re-certification process in 2023 and was granted continued accreditation status through 2033.
Ensuring that students can fulfill clerkship learning objectives is required for continued accreditation. Completion of evaluations forms is critical to demonstrate compliance and student outcomes. We appreciate your partnership!
