WorkNet DuPage works with students with disabilities (IEP/504s), low income families, teen parents, and English language learners to get connected with paid internships, get funding for the College of DuPage, and assists in job training and career exploration.
Autonomy Works helps employ adults with autism and similar abilities. This agency matches them to a highly technical business setting. Individuals will get connected in the areas of digital marketing, transaction processing, quality assurance, and data management.
Project SEARCH gives individuals with disabilities the opportunity to participate in three, 10-week long internships that allow them to gain real-life vocational skills in a variety of hospital departments. At the completion of the internships, students are placed into competitive employment.
Inspired by Ability is a paid job training program for individuals with disabilities who encounter barriers to employment. Participants are provided classroom instruction for 2 hours a week, where they will learn job readiness and employability skills. Participants simultaneously participate in paid work experiences within the community allowing them to explore different career paths.
