College of DuPage offers several options for students to continue their education. Below is information about the most common paths students utilize as well as links to COD's website for more information.
Certificate programs are for students who are interested in taking technical or professional courses that will allow them to enter a field of employment in less than 2 years.
Many of the Associate degree programs are designed for students who plan to transfer to a 4-year college or university. However some are designed to accommodate students personal interests or prepare students to enter a technical career in 2 years or less.
Begin your academic journey at COD then use your degree to transfer to a 4 year college or university. COD has developed partnerships to facilitate a smooth transfer. They offer Guaranteed Transfer Agreements, 2+2 Transfer Agreements, transfer guides, and 3+1 Transfer Programs that are designed to save you time and money.
The Project Hire-Ed Apprenticeship program is open to all ages and backgrounds. If you are interested in exploring full-time employment, learning new skills and getting on a career path, we encourage you to apply.
One of the many benefits of attending COD is affordability. The tuition cost for a full time student (taking 5 classes/semester) is just over $4,000.

Verify your Program of Study
Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher and complete enough classes to keep moving toward successfully completing your degree or certificate.

The Scholars Award Program is COD's merit-based scholarship program for high school seniors. Scholarships are awarded based on a holistic review of all scholarship materials. Applicants are evaluated based on their cumulative GPA, academic rigor, and their answer to the Scholars Award essay question. Students may be eligible for one of the following awards:
Presidential Scholars Award
Covers up to 64 credit hours of in-district tuition at COD
For two consecutive academic years
Board of Trustees Scholars Award
$2,500 award ($1,250 per semester)
May be renewed annually for up to four semesters
Deans Scholars Award
$1,000 award ($500 per semester)
May be renewed annually for up to four semesters

COD offers a variety of Information Sessions, Workshops, and Specialty Events for every type of student. All upcoming events, recordings, including First-Generation and Spanish events are posted on the Visit page.
Students with IEP/ 504 need to request accommodations, AFTER their New Student Advising appointment. The Center for Access and Accommodations will be hosting information sessions. A recording is available here.
