What is NHS?

National Honor Society was founded in 1921 to bring together students and encourage scholarship, leadership, good character, and community service. NHS chapters are found in all 50 states as well as several other countries, with over 10,000 chapters existing across the globe. West Chicago Community High School's chapter is comprised of approximately 75-100 members on average.

What does NHS do?

NHS is a club committed to serving our school and our community. NHS runs charity events and fundraisers and organizes volunteer trips for members. Additionally, all members complete 20+ hours of community service per year. Over the 23-24 school year, a collective 3,288 service hours were earned, and 40 members were recognized as United Nations National Community Service Award winners.
