  3. I then will hand out the binders and help get them organized.

  2. Today we are going to continue to organize our binders and decorate them.

  3. If time allows, we will begin reading the article that is for tomorrow.

Thursday, April 8th - Marking the Text- Synchronous

  2. Today we are going to read an article about the way applying for college has changed.

  3. We will mark up the text.

Monday, April 12th - Classroom Norms Review and SMART Goal Check-In- Synchronous

EQ: What factors contribute to a respectful learning environment and encourage good class discussion?

  1. Today we are going to review our set of "norms" or classroom rules.

  2. We will post the norms on the wall.

  3. Then, we will check in with our 2nd Semester SMART goals.

Wednesday, April 14th- Letters to Admissions Offices- Synchronous

EQ: How can I get some college swag?

  1. Today we are going to choose a college to write a letter asking for some college gear.

  2. Then we will write the letter.

Thursday, April 15th - Letters to AOs Continued- Synchronous

EQ: How can I get some college swag?

  1. We will all sign our class norms!

  2. We will continue the letter process: printing out the letter, addressing the envelope and then signing the letter.

  3. Then, Mrs. C will mail them.

Friday, April 16th - Work Day- Synchronous

Monday, April 19th - Transcripts, GPAs, and Class Ranks

  1. Today we are going to look at our transcripts and figure out what they say.

  2. We will look at our grades, our GPAs, and Class Ranks.

Tuesday, April 20th - Capstone

EQ: How can I meaningfully wrap up my sophomore year?

  1. Today we are going to start working on our Capstone Project: College and Career Portfolio.

  2. We will review the assignment and the timeline.

  3. Then we will begin working on one of the components.

Wednesday, April 21st- NO SCHOOL

Thursday, April 22nd - TRF

  1. We are going back to Tutorials!

  2. We are going to spend today working on our 1st TRF of the Quarter.

  2. We will break into a few groups and help each other with their points of confusion.

  1. Today we are going to watch a motivational video about becoming the person we want to be.

  2. After we watch it, we will complete a 4-Square.

  1. Today, we are going to read and annotate.

Tuesday, May 4th - Focused Notes "Is College Worth the Cost?"

EQ: How can I better understand what I read?

  1. Today we are going to take Focused Notes using a T-chart.

  2. For homework, please review your notes and write a summary.
