The Turkey Trot is an event with an option of three runs with different distances. It is an organization dedicated to donate money to provide the proper shoes for junior high and high school student athletes that cannot afford to buy their own. The program is called SOR, Shoes for Student Runners. Some sponsors are Toyota and Pepsico. Each run is $20 (free for anyone under 18) and registration ends November 22. There is an eight mile run from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, a 5k run from 8:15 AM to 11:00 AM, and a two mile run from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM. It will take place on November 25, 2021 at The Jackson County Expo, 1 Penninger Central Point.
The outdoor Growers Market is open and will be open until Thanksgiving. During this season, there will be spicy petunias, roses and chives, rosemary, thyme, and lavender, fresh peaches, ripe tomatoes, coffee, donuts, wind chimes, hand-scented soaps, and so much more available to buy. The hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Downtown Grants Pass, 4th and F Street. Their CSA Farms are Fry Family Farm, Quail Run Farm, Runnymede Farm, Sweet Farm Water Farm, Terra Sol Organics, and Barking Moon. Fresh produce, vegetables, bread, pastries, meats, and crafts are all available. There is much to see and most people spend 20-45 minutes at the Growers Market. The option to call vendors, pre-order, and have farm fresh produce ready for pick-up is available. After Thanksgiving, the market moves indoors at the Grants Pass Fairgrounds.

The Poinsettia Festival is an annual event to walk through the greenhouses full of thousands of poinsettias in various colors. There will be hot beverages, snacks, festive music, and holiday themed crafts. Amongst the poinsettias, there is an area staged for a Christmas photo. Raffle tickets are free with a chance to win prizes. The festival will occur on Saturday, November 27, at 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It is at the Ashland Greenhouses. The address is 650 East Ashland Lane, Ashland.
Black Friday is a shopping holiday where many stores and restaurants put great deals on their products. It is the busiest shopping day of the year. It occurs each year, the day after Thanksgiving. Some stores in Grants Pass that will be having sales are Big Lots, Black Bear Diner, Big 5 Sporting Goods, and many stores in the Grants Pass Shopping Center. There are many places near Grants Pass, including the Rogue Valley Mall. Last year broke the world record for online shopping with over 100 million online shoppers! Small Business Saturday is the day after Black Friday every year. It is similar to Black Friday, but for smaller businesses. It is important to the community because downtown Grants Pass is full of small businesses that have struggled through the pandemic.
