President Trump, a member of the Republican Party, and has outlined numerous plans for his second term. According to USA Today, Trump previously held the presidency until Jan. 20, 2021, when he was succeeded by Joe Biden. Now back in office, he has vowed to restore the country he claims former President Biden damaged, as reported by ABC News.

Economic issues were a focal point of the presidential debates. Trump has set several goals to address the nation's financial state. He intends to raise tariffs on foreign goods, including imports from China and Canada. According to The Los Angeles Times, Trump plans to overhaul border policy, reform taxes and the economy, pardon Jan. 6 defendants and anti-abortion activists, and revoke transgender healthcare protections and anti-discrimination measures. He has argued that the country has experienced a severe decline and requires immediate executive action.

President Trump assures the public that his leadership will lead to a safer, more affordable, traditional, and "great" America. According to The official White House website, he has identified these priorities as the cornerstone of his presidency. Thus far, his term has been marked by a flurry of executive orders.
