FY21 Annual Priority Action Plan and Related Strategies: Goal 1

Goal One: Engage all students in learning that leads to academic growth, achievement, and readiness for high school, college, career, and life.

• Provide training and support for the consistent understanding and implementation of identified Essential Standards K-8 in reading, writing, and mathematics.

• Implement a K-8 reading intervention system outlined in D62 Reading intervention Non-negotiables, Guidelines and Program Effectiveness with building principals, reading specialists, and interventionists.

• Seek final feedback on plans and then execute Kindergarten Readiness and transition plans.

• Establish a timeline and process to re-engage deepen use, and support teachers’ understanding of the essential standards to move accountability from principals and reading interventionists to the teacher level.

• Develop a plan to engage our certified staff in learning the RtI at Work model with Solution Tree.

• Revisit Kindergarten readiness documents and data to develop an implementation plan for next year.

• Investigate schedule options to ensure students can participate in Tier I math intervention.

• Investigate new approaches and resources for math program effectiveness (Transmath)

• Investigate collection of assessment data to support end of year vertical articulations conversations related to student mastery of essential standards in reading, writing, and math.

• Investigate how to assist others become comfortable and proficient with the PLC at Work/RtI at Work process
