In our aquaponics facility we have something called a mineralization tank. This is where we put the excess solids so they can be further broken down by bacteria. On this day, the pipe came out and so did all of the excess solids :) Mr. Giesenhagen needed to go home to change that day!

During a window repair on the fish tank, we had to catch the fish and put them in a separate holding tank. Over night, the air tube blew off and the fish sadly did not make it. We decided to add them to one of our garden rows to decompose and add nutrients for our next year's garden. Nothing needs to be wasted!
