Course Description: Design Seminar

Do you enjoy a class where you can express yourself through creative design and hands-on projects? Join us in the exploration of all things design. Topics will include: Elements and Principles of Design, Fashion History and Trends, Interior Design Trends and Design Careers. You will be encouraged to test your design knowledge and creativity by completing several design challenges.

Course Description: Fashion Design I & II

Are you ready to see your creative style and flair on the fashion runway? This class is for you. We will utilize all the knowledge and skills you learned in Design Seminar and take it up a notch or two. We will learn basic sewing skills and then develop these into more in depth construction techniques, spend more time on design, explore the world of fashion merchandising and take your own design from the drawing board to the runway!

2019 Recycle Redesign Fashion Show. Students created wearable garments out of recycled materials.

2019 Community Service Project - Students used their sewing skills to create Motor Skills Activity Boards for elementary students with disabilities in the district. We delivered them to the students at Nisley Elementary & Orchard Avenue Elementary. They were a big hit and the GJHS fashion students had fun making them.
