We are Family and Consumer Science (FCS). We focus on teaching students essential life skills related to personal well-being, family relationships, and managing resources. The courses we teach cover a wide range of topics, including nutrition, culinary arts, financial management, child development, human relationships, career development, health & wellness and fashion design. 

By taking FCS classes, students are equipped with foundational knowledge that can help them lead balanced and productive lives, both as individuals and as members of a family or community. The subject promotes personal responsibility, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, making it valuable for students regardless of their future career paths.

We also provide students who have a passion for careers in our pathways (Culinary & Hospitality, Education & Fashion) to hone their industry skills through industry certifications and meaningful work based learning placements.
