Baseball 2026 season STARTS!!!!!!

The 2026 baseball season started with a lot of excitement. All across the country, fans wore their team colors and filled the stadiums, ready to cheer for their favorite players.
In New York, the Mets showed off their brand-new stadium upgrades. There was a huge new scoreboard and a roof that could open and close. The Yankees brought out their new pitcher from Japan, Hiroshi Takahashi. He threw the ball so fast that everyone was amazed.
Over in Los Angeles, the Dodgers played the San Diego Padres on Opening Day. The Dodgers had a new shortstop, Miguel Torres, who made a fantastic diving catch in the very first inning. The crowd went wild!
Other teams had big hopes, too. The Seattle Mariners had some new players in their bullpen and a strong hitter named Tyrese Blake. Many people thought they could win their division this year. The St. Louis Cardinals played with a lot of energy and even changed the way they moved their players around the field to try to win more games.
At the start of the season, every team had a chance to go all the way. Fans everywhere were dreaming that this year could be special. The 2026 baseball season was just beginning, and nobody knew what would happen next!

Annabella: What first got you interested in Track and Field?
Ms. Blackwell: Well, I have always loved running, and I also love running 5ks.
Annabella: Interesting, what inspired you to coach Track and Field?
Ms.Blackwell: To encourage others to have the same fun experience I had.
Annabella: That's so cool! Next question: What is your favorite type of Track shoes?
Ms.Blackwell: That's a great question. I'm not sure, maybe On Clouds.
Annabella: What has been your favorite memory of track and field so far?
Ms. Blackwell: Well.... There was this one time, Last year, we had an indoor practice that we never had before. And I was racing and back peddling at the same time, and I fell backwards, and we were all laughing so hard it was great.
Annabella: Just for fun, I am going to ask you some random questions; If you were a shoe, what shoe would you be?
Ms. Blackwell: If I were a shoe? Well, maybe Birkenstocks.
Annabella: Interesting. What is your favorite sport to watch?
Ms. Blackwell: Snowboarding and Formula One.
Annabella: That's great, and finally, if you were an ice cream flavor, what would you be?
Ms. Blackwell: Probably... coffee because I drink a lot of coffee.
Annabella: Cool, thank you for your time.
Ms. Blackwell: Of Course!

If you have never heard of Allyson Felix, I am here to tell you more about this incredible person. For starters, she is known for all her 11 Olympic medals. She overtook Carl Lewis to become the most decorated in track and field in America. Her dedication and athletic ability allow her to shine on the track. She won't hold back when she knows there is a race to win. So, if you are ever thinking to yourself that you don't have what it takes to be in sports or anything else, be more dedicated to it like Allyson Felix.
