New movies are coming out in 2026, and here are some movies you can look forward to seeing throughout the year for all those of you living under a rock...

1. Super Mario Galaxy - This is personally the movie I am most excited to see coming out in theatres in April 2026. The previous original movie, "Super Mario Bros Movie," was a huge hit in 2023. A solid movie that received a %95 for audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, so I'm quite excited to see what they have in store for us.

2. Minions 3 - We all know them, we all love them. The Minion's movies featuring Gru are a fun watch, and they have yet another movie in store for us. But this is the third movie of a collection on its own, "Minions." The first of the three was released in 2015, and following behind is Minions: Rise of Gru, released in 2022. I love all Minion movies, and I'm excited to see what's coming next. 

3. Live Action Moana - Moana has always been my favorite Disney movie ever since it came out, but then again, live action movies sometimes aren't all the hype they seem to be, so that's why, instead of placing number one, it's getting number three. The original movie was made in 2026 and got a %95 on the Critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, which is insanely good. This one is going to be a bit of a wild card, but I'm keeping my hopes up. 

4. Toy Story 5 - I thought four movies were more than enough, but they just keep coming. Not sure what's going to happen, but it seems in almost all movie series I've seen, if there's more than four or even three movies, things just start going downhill. I'm not entirely sure what to expect from this. But that's just me talking, especially since for the first two movies they have a perfect %100 on Rotten Tomatoes, followed by a %98 and a %97. But I'm ready, just throw it at me. 

5. Mandalorian and Grogu - This one is for all the sci-fi or space nerds out there, since, if I'm being completely honest, I've never seen an entire Star Wars movie before. That's why this one isn't higher up on my list. I mean, Everyone knows Baby Yoda *cough* I mean Grogu, and the show does indeed look promising, so I'm gonna give it a shot. I mean, after all, The Mandalorian does have a %93 for seasons one and two, with a %84 at season 3. Especially since it's a movie that has top marks in my books. The Star Wars series was a fire, so I have great faith in this movie.

Jimmy John's. Famous Italian sandwiches are loved throughout America and some in some other countries such as Canada, South Korea, Peru, and some other countries. They sell hundreds of delicious bready sandwiches daily. Then there's Subway. A delicious catastrophe in your mouth. Sturdy bread and a place where you can even put veggies on your sandwich. A quality that not many sandwich places have. Both shops include delicious quality sandwiches that are flavorful, but are there differences so that one is better than the other? Once again, the students of Fruita Middle School will decide: Who will win? But first, let's look at the facts...

Jimmy John's was created on January 13, 1983, by Jimmy John Liautaud. The idea was to have a shop that college students could go to for a cheap, affordable meal. It began to become popular in the mid to late 2000's, and it's a popular fast food choice. It's ranked #10 in the best fast food places in the world.  The most popular thing on the menu is the Italian Night Club sandwich, including salami, lettuce, onion, and tomato, just to name a few toppings. But can Subway take the lead with their soft pretzels and churros?

 Subway was created on August 28, 1965, by Fred DeLuca and Peter Buck. The idea was to get money to pay for Deluca's college tuition, but it unexpectedly became a hit from the 1990s to the 2000s. It's ranked #5 among fast food places in the world. The most popular thing on the menu is similarly the Italian B.M.T with (as said in the name) bacon, lettuce, and tomato, and other toppings, and topped with vinegar, mayo, or oil. But are all these neat features enough to top Jimmy John's?

Don't get me wrong, summer is my favorite time of the year, but is it just a chance for kids to get lazy and just watch TV all the time? Summer is a great time to chill out and recover from the last school year, but for some kids they have no camps, or sports, or trips, so they just sit at home and yeah, to just have a chill day where you do nothing is ok, because you don't always have to do something, but you need to at least once a day do something productive and don't just stay inside it could be as simple as walking around your neighborhood or just going in your backyard. Another thing that is a problem is that kids need a schedule, like maybe still on the weekends, you still go to bed at a certain time, maybe later than the weekdays, but still get to a place where you wake up at a certain time every day and go to bed at a certain time because you need a routine. According to the National Sleep Foundation, they state, "Having a regular sleep schedule can positively affect key areas in your life, including your mental and physical health as well as performance." In conclusion, sleep is of key importance in our lives, and in the summer, keep it regular. 

Summer is almost here, and it's what everybody is waiting for. The beaches, pools, and finally getting to wear shorts and T-shirts, but for me, it's about the desserts. People are always saying you can't have ice cream in winter, but when summer is here, that is when I can finally have it. 

1) Ice cream- The creamy, soft, cold dessert that everyone enjoys. It comes in many flavors. I could go on and on about all the flavors that have been created over all these years. But the main ones that everyone knows are vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. Did you know those were the very first ice cream flavors?

2) Popsicles- The cold, icy flavor of goodness, on a hot summer day here in Colorado, it feels nice to chill and have a popsicle. It feels like a freezer on your tongue, except freezers don't have amazing flavors like cherry, strawberry, orange, green apple, coconut, and so much more. 

3) Brownies- These chocolaty small desserts are just the thing you need. They are all chocolate, kind of like a cookie, but so much better than that.  Soft and chewy, it melts in your mouth. They taste amazing. 

4) Chips- I know the crispy deliciousness of awesome flavors. Depends on what you like; chips can match what you like. For example, BBQ chips have the tangy, smoky flavor that reminds you of a family or friend cookout. Or salt and vinegar that can remind you of the salty ocean (Don't actually drink ocean water, it is not the same thing).

 Sadly, I couldn't think of any other amazing summer desserts. But these take the cake of all the summer desserts. If you disagree with me, that's ok too.

The beach is one of the most fun places to go, especially with your friends or family. There are so many things you can do there, but these are my top five favorite things to do at the beach. 

1. Build a Sandcastle
One of the best things to do at the beach is build a sandcastle. You can make big towers and walls, and even a moat around them. 

2. Play in the Waves
Another really fun thing to do is play in the waves. Sometimes the waves are small, but sometimes they are really big and knock you over, which can actually be pretty funny. It is one of the most exciting things to do in the water. 

3. Look for Seashells
Walking along the beach and looking for seashells is also really fun. You never know what kinds you will find. Some are tiny, and some are really pretty, and they make great things to take home as souvenirs. 

4. Play Games in the Sand
You can play lots of games at the beach, like frisbee, volleyball, or tag. Playing games in the sand with your friends can be really fun and sometimes chaotic because people slip and fall in the sand. 

5. Watch the Sunset
At the end of the day, watching the sunset at the beach is really beautiful. The sky turns colors like pink, orange, and purple. It is a nice way to end a fun day at the beach
