A LITTLE INFORMATION...

Hello!  My name is Stefanie Mecklenburg and this is my twenty-ninth year of teaching 5th grade at Hiawatha Elementary. I would describe myself as a kind, creative, and fair teacher.

I've made it my mission to teach my students a lot, but also to relate to them on a more personal level. I love to laugh and joke around when the time is right but still focus on improving academic skills along the way.

In my spare time I LOVE to do anything artistic. My favorite things to do are stamp cards and enjoy the outdoors. I also enjoy making  jewelry and reading like crazy!

My husband, Jon, and I have been married 28 years and we have two loving adult daughters and an awesome son-in-law. Ashlee, 26 years old, is married to Jack and they have the sweetest furbaby.  My daughter, Kaiylee is 22. We all enjoy spending time together, going on fun outdoor trips, out to dinner, walks with my grandpuppy, Romeo, and playing games.

I am excited to be teaching your child this year! I know we will have a great year together!

MY MISSION

My mission is to teach the students a lot this year, preparing them for middle school expectations, while having fun in the process. I hope 5th grade is their best year yet!
