Classroom Rules

DISCIPLINE PLAN

This discipline plan will be in effect at all times during our school year.  The enforcement of these rules will allow me to teach and enable your child to learn in a safe, supportive environment.  As a teacher, your child’s safety and well being are very important. I want everyone to enjoy coming to school and feel that they are an important part of the classroom.  That’s why our rules are so important.

RULES

• 1. Listen carefully

• 2. Follow directions

• 3. Work quietly/Do not disturb others

• 4. Respect others with your words and actions

• 5. Respect school & personal property

• 6. Work and play safely

CONSEQUENCES

• 1. Verbal warning

• 2. Name on the board (written warning) 

• 3. Incident recorded per the Code of Conduct

SEVERE CLAUSE

A student will be written up or sent to the principal’s office immediately if behavior is dangerous or severely disruptive.

POSITIVES

Students who behave appropriately will be positively rewarded with praise, hawk prides, name on the BINGO board, good notes sent home, class parties, and other special privileges.  

I have already discussed this plan with your child, but I would appreciate it if you would review it together periodically.
