Before starting our first unit of the year, we are working on building some foundational skills that we will use and build upon all year long. This includes seeing where we are at with our grammar skills to help guide our writing curriculum as well as working on learning what textual evidence is, why it's important, and how to cite it to make our arguments or claims stronger.
