Band

Congratulations to all band students for their final concert of the year. Each person has grown since we began our music journey, impressive!
The Ella Fitzgerald and Matt Bishop Big Bands will perform on Monday, May 11 at 6:00pm at the Dundee Depot in East Dundee, IL. Students should arrive by 5:45pm. Concert dress for this performance is casual (jeans and shorts okay) with DMS Spirit Wear or something red or black. Bring your lawnchair, we do this Ravinia style (food okay too)!
If your student would like to enroll in summer music lessons, reach out to Mr. Kasper so we can get you scheduled. Summer lessons are great for ALL students!

There are two Orchestra Concerts coming soon and they are on the same day! On May 13th, 2026 we have the Dundee Highlands/Liberty 5th grade orchestras and DMS 6th grade Orchestra concert at 6pm, and Gilberts/Sleepy Hollow 5th grade orchestras and DMS 7th/8th grade orchestra concert at 7:30pm. We will see you there!!!
Attention Parents who rent! You should not have to return your students instrument over the summer! We will be handing out music soon for the students to practice over the summer for next school year.
D300 Summer Fine Arts Camp registration is open! If you are interested in signing up your future 7th or 8th grade student for summer orchestra, click this link. If your future 9th grade student is interested in mentoring for summer orchestra, please contact Mrs. Benge or Ms. Wood.
Please have your student(s) check their concert attire! Red DMS Music polo, black dress pants or floor length skirt, black socks, and black dress shoes are required for all concerts.
Does your student love orchestra and want to play MORE? Please email either Ms. Wood or Mrs. Benge (or both!) for information about youth orchestras and/or private teachers in our area.

Wizard of Oz was a wonderful success! Thank you to the village of parents, staff, and students who helped make this show amazing! Be sure to say or send a special extra thanks to Mrs. Melanie Witek who is retiring after many years of being an integral part of our DMS musical productions!
Our finale concert is on Wednesday May 6th at 7:00pm in the main gym. Students call time is 6:30pm and they wear their normal required uniform. Several students did not wear black dress shoes last concert. Please double check to make sure your child is in black flat dress shoes for the concert. No athletic shoes please.
Bella Voce & 8th Grade Choir will perform at Recognition Night on May 20th at Jacobs High School. More info to come!
