On April 8 of last year there was an exciting solar eclipse that many student were able to see, some even a Total Solar Eclipse. Tonight, everyone can see a Total Lunar eclipse! The full lunar eclipse starts on March 13 at 10:57 pm and ends the next day at 5 am. However, not until about 12:09 am you will begin to see the umbra darkening the moon. Totality will start at 1:58 am on end at 2:31 am. Lunar eclipses happen more frequently, and more people can see them because they are visible to anyone on the dark side of earth . The next total lunar eclipse won't be until be on March 3, 2026 so set your alarms!!
Bella Voce
Valentines Day!
In our DMS school group we have Bella Voice a singing club. On Valentine's Day, the singers go around to classes to sing. They sing songs such as “Baby Face”, and “You Are My SunShine" to one lucky student. They have a great harmony and took much time and effort doing this for our DMS school.

One of the most electrifying sports events is the super bowl between the chiefs and eagles.
After a year of football, the Kansas City Chiefs went 15-2 the first seed and beat the Texans and Bills to get to the bug game. The Eagles went 14-3 and had to beat the Packers, Rams and Commanders to get to the game after a huge contribution by running back Saquan Barkley. Going into the super bowl after the first quarter the eagles were winning 7-0 but little did we know this would start a demolition. The eagles after a good first half were leading 24-0. The halftime show performed by Kendrick Lamar and guest performer SZA. I asked Adrian Leon and Cesar Fortoso and they said that the halftime show was the best part and they sang all the lyrics. After the electrifying halftime show the chiefs started to heat up but not much as after the 3rd quarter it was 34-6 after Xavier Worthy caught a touchdown. After more insane football the game ended 40-22 eagles coming out with the win. The super bowl MVP went to eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts after he threw for 221 passing yards. Sadly for football fans this is the end of another great season.

Let’s Glow!
The Glow Party, a school event organized by the DMS parents association for all grades to have fun was held on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the DMS gyms and cafeteria.
The event started on time at 6pm where many students were dropped off by parents or family members and ushered in by other parents. The party was also supervised by many teachers.
Many of the students who showed up for the event were nicely dressed and adorned with some form of glowing item or had some form of glowing object with them like glowing hair bands, bracelets, necklaces and wands.
The main gym was entirely dark except for the lighted sign boards and the many glowing balloons and beach balls. The aux gym on the other hand, was well lighted and had two inflatable games inside. It also had purchasable face paint and temporary tattoo stands setup. The cafeteria was also well lighted and had snacks, drinks, and glow in the dark items stands set up too. All who wanted to purchase these items had to do so using the tickets they had purchased.
Most of the students assembled at the main gym where there was music and dancing. Those who were not dancing played with the lighted balloons and balls. It was such a beautiful sight to witness with all the various glowing objects in the dark.
Other students who were not dancing were either at the aux gym and cafeteria getting food and snacks such as popcorn, cotton candy, sweet goody bags, chips and candy bars or playing games or getting tattoos.
All the students present had so much fun that they did not want it to end. And when it finally did, most of us talked about how we couldn’t wait for next year’s party. If you are in 6th or 7th grade, this is something definitely worth at least considering.
Thank you to our DMS Parents Association and teachers for giving us such a memorable and fun night.
