Do you like to socialize? Do you like to interact with people and make friends while also having fun? Or do you want to learn how to? Well then, Buddy Club is the place for you! Don’t know what Buddy Club is? Look no further.
Buddy Club is an afterschool socializing club for all DMS students with or without disabilities.
Buddy Club takes place at 3:40pm to 4:30 pm in the LIFE kids’s room (Rm 165). They meet once a month on Thursdays. Specific dates of meetings are communicated through the DMS morning announcements.
At Buddy Club, members participate in fun activities with friends including playing board games , painting, and even yoga. Every meeting day is filled with new activities making it even more exciting to be there as you anticipate what new things you are going to experience.
At Buddy club all you can expect is lots of fun while meeting new people and making new friends. You will not regret it. For any further questions and concerns feel free to reach out to Mr. Mcdonalds or Dr. Wilson.
The Board Game Club started its first meeting this February. Board Game Club is sponsored by Mr. Schamrowski (Big Scham Dog), and is hosted in his room (146). You can sign up for each weekly meeting on Mr. Schamrowski's door. This is open to anybody from 6th grade - 8 grade. They have games like Taco, Cat, Goat, Cheese, Pizza, UNO, Apples to Apples and more. Board Game Club’s next meeting is March 17 at 3:40 pm - 5:00 pm. (Dates subject to change)
Advanced Art Club is a club open for any 8th grade students (and sometimes 7th graders) that are interested in an art environment full of experienced people. The club sponsor, Mrs. Lunde, the art teacher at our school, is a very welcoming person and invites anyone interested in art with open arms. Our latest project, a portrait of the late Mr. Bishop, has been a huge success, and we hope we get the opportunity to work on more meaningful and exciting projects.
